Somoco Ghana has hosted its spare part dealers and retailers in a seminar to sensitize and update them on business strategies to adopt in marketing bajaj products.
Being the sole distributor of Bajaj Auto and its products in Ghana and the sub region, Somoco’s assembly plant in Accra employs more than 100 Ghanaians and over 250 employees nationwide.
The company plans to set up second and third plants in Tamale and Kumasi as parts of its contribution towards the ‘One District, One Factory’ initiative by government.
Explaining to the Goldstreet Business at the seminar, Vinay Chaturvedi, Business Head, Somoco Ghana Limited, said the company recently introduced the latest motorcycle brands onto the Ghanaian market.
“We are the official distributors of the bajaj wheelers and boxer motorcycle in the Ghanaian market and that consolidates our quest to provide quality to meet demands in the market,” Vinay said.
He noted that, apart from the commitment to providing after sales service to customers, Somoco and Bajaj have jointly provided trained mechanics and Multi Franchise Services to distribution outlets nationwide.
Established in 2013 as the distributor of Bajaj automobiles, Somoco currently has networks with a presence in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern, Volta, Upper East and Upper West regions, with over 100 dealer shops and service centres operating under the brand.
After the seminar, the company awarded some of its spare part dealers and also presented dealer schemes to its customers.
